As those post-Great Recession investments in Multifamily properties generated respectable gains, Mark and his family office needed to acquire assets for their personal portfolio. As new equity funds were raised throughout the beginning of the economic boom in 2016, Mark’s personal investment needs coincided with those of large institutions and high net worth family offices across the country. With increased market competition, he saw that it became increasingly more difficult to place equity efficiently. This climate created an opportunity to add value to Mark’s personal portfolio as well as the institutions he has maintained close relationships over years, thus opening a new chapter in Mark’s career, prompting him to form REIT Acquisition Advisors, Inc. in 2017.
